The Research and Delivery Division  (RDD) was established in 2019 with the core mandate of undertaking various research projects in the Ministry. The Division is mandated to coordinate and mentor research economists in the Ministry. The division also supports the coordination of projects and facilitates in-country missions.


The Research and Delivery Division is responsible for providing the following functions within the Ministry :


  • Economic Research and Analysis: The unit conducts in-depth research and analysis on various economic and financial issues in Sierra Leone. Our work involves monitoring economic trends, assessing the impact of government policies, and providing economic forecasts across key indicators.
  • Policy Development: The RDD plays a key role in the development and formulation of economic and financial policies to drive evidence-based policy-making in the country
  • Data Collection and Reporting: The RDD collects, maintains, and analyzes economic and financial data across different economic sectors.
  • Capacity Building and Development: The RDD is mandated to strengthen the capacity of the ministry’s staff through training and professional development programs.
  • Supporting project delivery and facilitating in-country mission
