Madleen Madina Frazer is an Assistant Director in the division. She oversees the day-to-day execution of research projects, disseminates research findings and their implications to relevant stakeholders, supports the writing of research grant applications, and also supports the preparation of annual work plans quarterly and annual performance reports.

In previous roles, she served as an Assistant Economist in the former Local Government Finance Department of the Ministry. In that capacity, she supported local councils in building capacity for revenue mobilization and administration. She also collaborated with relevant government agencies to determine the cost of devolved functions for local councils, allocated budgeting resources, and facilitated fund transfers.

Madleen holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

She is a recipient of the African Economic Research Consortium Scholarship in 2017.
